Drug Free Schools   The Croswell Police Department, Sanilac County Drug Task Force, Sanilac County Sheriff Department, and the Michigan State Police are all continually working together to prevent drugs, alcohol, and weapons from the school grounds.

Click It or Ticket! The Croswell Police Department participates in the Click It or Ticket program in Michigan.  This program has been designed to increase seatbelt and Drunk Driving enforcement.  For more information on this program, click here

The Croswell Police Department has partnered with Project ChildSafe to raise awareness in Croswell about safe and responsible firearm ownership. Project ChildSafe has provided the Croswell Police Department with gunlock safety kits. These cable style gunlocks will be distributed to Croswell residents at no cost.  For more information on this program, click here.  If you would like to get one of these kits, stop into our office Monday-Friday 9am to 3pm.

Training  Officers of the Croswell Police Department have been trained and have met the MCOLES (Michigan Commission on Law Enforcement Standards) requirements.  To view the standards, click here.  Our Officers are taking courses to further their education.  They also are continuously being trained within the department.

School Liaison  The Croswell Police Department and the Croswell-Lexington School District have teamed up to provide the High School and Middle School with a Liaison Officer.  This officer is fully certified and works in the schools during the school year and as a patrol officer on school breaks.

Bicycle Patrol   In the summer of 2003, the Croswell Police Department initiated a new patrolling program for the Downtown Business District.  During the summer months, one of our officers is assigned to bicycle patrol.

Business District Video Patrol   Another new program the Croswell Police Department has available is Video Surveillance of the Downtown Business District.  The Downtown Development Authority provide the funding for video cameras to be mounted in town.  The videos scan a 360 degree area, however, they can also be operated manually or programmed to monitor only a certain area.  The videos feed into a television in the Police Department.   If you are interested in seeing how this operates, contact the Croswell Police at 810-679-2200 to set up an appointment.

Drug Task Force   The Croswell Police Department is proud to be associated with the Sanilac Country Drug Task Force.  Our department assists with raids and conducting drug investigations.  If you have any information on drug activity anywhere in Sanilac County, please contact the Drug Task Force at 810-648-4580.
